We all know at some level that water conservation is an important topic. Most of us don’t really “do much” unless the cost of water and sewer is astronomical in our area, or we are forced to by municipalities, drought conditions, etc.

We believe that any equipment investment which has a two year or less payback due to operating cost efficiency is a “must buy” piece of equipment. Water reclaim equipment can have a two year payback in many cases, and can have many other benefits.

Generally it is much easier to address water reclaim and properly install all necessary underground if it’s done with a new building. Retrofitting an existing wash is a little more tricky, but there is always a solution. The state of water reclaim today in the carwash industry is far more advanced than it was 10 years ago, but there are still a lot of “horror” stories about smell and dirty water which cause many operators to shy away from reclaim.
